Introduction

This privacy policy (the “Policy”) sets out the privacy rules governing:

  • the websites at portal.gruntify.com, api.gruntify.com, any successor or derived website, and the services available on that website or any successor website (the “Services”);
  • the Gruntify iOS and Android Apps provided for mobile data collection (the “Apps”), which have been designed to communicate with the Services, and
  • the transmission, storage and processing of content by you, or by any person on your behalf, using the Apps and/or Services (“Content”).

References in this Policy to "you" are to any customer for the Services and any individual user of the Services (and "your" should be construed accordingly); and references in this Policy to "us" or “the Developer” are to Gruntify™ (and "we" and "our" should be construed accordingly).

Purpose and use

Your use of our Service is voluntary. We must obtain personal information that is relevant and necessary in order to provide you with particular features of the Service. By using our Service or requesting that we provide the Service to you, you essentially agree to disclose certain types of personal information to us. You are authorising us to use and disclose your personal information within the provisions of this Privacy Policy.

Personal information we collect

We will only collect personal information from you that is relevant and necessary for our functions and activities. We will collect and store personal information that you provide to us. The information we may ask for comprises of:

  • First and last name
  • Phone number &
  • Email address

While your email address is recorded, we will not use it for any other purpose, other than for the purpose for which you provided it. Emails in which assistance is requested will be forwarded to the relevant helpdesk operator. Our web team may monitor email messages for system troubleshooting and maintenance purposes. Your personal information remains your property at all times, subject to the permissive uses granted hereunder.

Location Information

We may collect the precise location of your device when the Apps are running in the foreground or background to enable geotagged data collection and GPS tracking of teams. We identify your location using a variety of technologies, including GPS and the WiFi points you are using to access the Services through and mobile/cell tower triangulation.

Disclosures of personal information

In order to perform our regular functions and activities, we may be required to disclose your personal information to third parties, such as:

  • Business partners where we outsource functions, such as information services, software development;
  • Other organisations such as law enforcement agencies where it may be authorised or required by law to disclose your personal information.

We take all reasonable measures to ensure that your personal information is stored accurately and securely. We will protect the personal information we hold against loss, unauthorised access, use, modification and disclosure. Currently, we have a range of physical and technological procedures in place to provide a secure environment.

Accessing and updating user information

You can view and amend all the information we keep about you through your Profile Page. If you wish to correct your personal information, please login to either the App or the Service, click your Profile and change which ever information is necessary.

Cookies are files with small amounts of data in it, which can contain an anonymous unique identifier. Cookies are sent to your browser from the Service and stored on your computer’s hard drive. The Service may use cookies when you access the web portal. Like many sites, we use these cookies to collect information.
